Energis hopes Micromuse will make it the perfect host

NEWS Web-hosting firm Energis Squared, formerly Planet Online, has licensed Micromuse to manage its entire web-hosting operation. Micromuse will deploy its Netcool service monitors, in what Energis Squared claims is the largest server farm in Europe, to assess response times of internet applications and customer service levels. Energis will also roll out Netcool Gateways to integrate its trouble ticketing system with the Netcool/Impact application, enabling users to cross-reference current problems with previous reports stored in relational databases. Phil Elliott, customer services director at Energis Squared, claimed the management software suite will enable the company to provide its customers with more in-depth information about their websites. He said: "Netcool software is rapidly becoming the de facto standard for large web hosting organisations"
