NEWS The company has added to its range a network attached storage server, PowerVault 705N, and PowerVault 530F. The PowerVault 705N has 120GB, is 1.75 inches thick and is an entry-level storage device aimed at small-to-medium size workgroups. The high-end product PowerVault 530F features remote data recovery, used largely for disaster recovery and similar back up functions. Steve Lewis, head of EMEA storage at Dell, told silicon.com: "Storage may not be the most exciting area of IT, but it is as important as foundations in a house. As the amount of data increases with such speed, so the need for large storage capacity becomes greater too." Analysis from research house IDC predicts the sales of all storage components will grow dramatically in the next two years.
