NEWS Microsoft claims the Tablet and other .Net developments will allow information to be customised and accessed regardless of location. The Tablet also includes a feature that allows the user to draw or write on screen through 'electronic ink' technology. Unlike products from most of its rivals, the Tablet PC will contain a fully featured operating system, utilising XML technology. Gates still claims fat clients give the best user experience. Microsoft won't be shipping a Windows-based Tablet until 2002. By Chris Holbrook
