NEWS The two companies will work together to develop joint products designed to help customers manage the explosion of corporate data. AltaVista is owned by internet development company CMGI. The agreement also includes two of CMGI's other subsidiaries Tallan, a web design and development company, and application hosting provider NaviSite. According to Joe Tucci, COO and president of EMC, the deal will better enable customers to organise and store data. He said: "There will be more information created in the next three years than in the last 40,000. "By integrating technologies and working closely with CMGI and its companies, EMC can help customers be better prepared for this content big bang."
