EMC founder Dick Egan is to step down from the chair at storage company EMC with Mike Ruettgers becoming executive chairman and Joe Tucci taking the role of president and CEO.

NEWS Egan will retain a seat on the board and the title of chairman emeritus. Former CEO Ruettgers will take his place, focusing on strategy. Former COO Tucci will take charge of the company's day-to-day operations and report to Ruettgers.
