NEWS A report commissioned by SuSE Linux finds that while 46 per cent of Linux users find its stability outstanding, only 13 per cent of Windows users thought the same of the Microsoft OS. Even among the Windows users surveyed, Linux was thought to be more stable. The report also says a quarter of PC users will consider Linux when they upgrade their equipment. Until now Linux has had little impact in the desktop OS arena. According to the survey, lack of experience and the limited range of desktop applications are holding users back from adopting the open source OS.
