NEWS Ariba is going head-to-head with arch rival Commerce One with the launch today of software that will allow Commerce One customers to transact through Ariba's global trading network. The Network Connect programme allows users of other B2B and ERP applications, including Commerce One, Oracle and SAP to register and transact with Ariba customers on the Ariba Commerce Services network. The network already hosts 30,000 Ariba suppliers and 600 buyers. The new application will also recognise over 120 XML languages including RosettaNet and xCBL.
