NEWS Dell is asking its US customers to tell them whether they prefer their computers to run on Intel or AMD processors. Although the PC maker is playing down the significance of the poll - it will not dictate a change in policy, the company says - this nonetheless marks a shift in attitude for a company that only sells machines with Intel inside. The Dell survey asks whether they would consider an AMD Athlon over an Intel Pentium and invites customers to explain their choice.
