NEWS A US federal appeals court has allowed Napster to resume its file-swapping service despite an admission that it is still unable to block a tiny percentage of unauthorised material. The decision overturns a ruling made last week ordering the company to stay offline until it could guarantee it could block 100 per cent of all copyrighted material. However, a Napster spokeswoman Ricki Siedman said in a statement: "We have no immediate comment on when we are going to start." The company, which closed its site on 2 July, now has plans to begin a subscription-based internet site later in the summer.
