NEWS Apple is planning to spend $85m on opening 25 new retail stores, according to a report submitted to the Securities and Exchanges Commission by the desktop giant. The retail outlets, announced earlier this year, will be situated across the US, according to reports on US wires. The report featured a detailed expenses and leasing plan. Apple has already opened shops in California, Texas and Minnesota as a part of its retail push. The company said it expects its efforts to break even in the first quarter of 2002.
