NEWS Dell and HP look set to report gloomy quarterly results later today, with chiefs Michael Dell and Carly Fiorina expected to tell Wall Street their firms have suffered under weak market conditions. HP has already warned that its Q3 results will fall short of expectations, while analysts expect Dell to report flat quarter-on-quarter growth. The markets are expected to take a keen interest in the performance of the two bellwether high-tech firms, with optimists hoping for some glimmer of light at the end of the US economic tunnel. We'll bring you an update as soon as the results have been confirmed.
