NEWS The agreement reached last week between Microsoft and the Department of Justice could be derailed by the individual US states, who are still refusing to sign up to the settlement. The states said late on Sunday that they want to change 12 specific points in the draft agreement, but still hope to be part of the process if the terms can be tightened, the Wall Street Journal reports this morning. They are expected to file their objections to US district court judge Kollar-Kotelly on Tuesday morning. If they are not appeased, the protracted legal battle could drag on even longer.
