NEWS Sun CEO Scott McNealy has offered his unique verdict on the imminent Microsoft settlement with the Department of Justice (DoJ), branding it a "fix". According to McNealy, the deal outlined last Friday is clearly the result of heavy lobbying of the Bush administration by Microsoft. This is something the Redmond-based company denies. Nevertheless, McNealy insisted, "the fix was in". Referring to the US government, McNealy said: "They gave away the bazooka and walked in with a spoon. We have a convicted monopolist and we give them a wet kiss." In remarks quoted in the WSJ, McNealy added: "Everybody calls me a cry-baby. But I'm not crying for me. I'll do just fine."
