NEWS AMD has unveiled two processors for use in notebook computers, as part of its strategy to capture a share of the mobile computing market in 2002. The 1.2GHz Athlon 4 Processor and the 950MHz Duron Processor will both ship in Compaq's Presario 700 later this quarter, costing $525 and $160 per thousand respectively. At an analyst conference last week, Jerry Sanders, chief executive of AMD, said the company will enter the server and mobile markets next year in direct competition with Intel.
