Palm drops online organiser

NEWS Users of handheld devices from Palm will no longer have access to web-based calendaring and address book services from the beginning of next year, the company announced via a message on its website. "Beginning January 10, 2002, Palm will no longer offer the MyPalm web portal," the message on www.my.palm.com reads. "All MyPalm web portal services, such as Date Book and Address Book, will cease operation as will the Date Book Update and Free Time Viewer applications on the MyPalm mobile portal."
