NEWS Shares in web filtering company Surfcontrol have surged ahead as the company filed a strong set of quarterly results. The company said it expects to report higher-than-expected sales figures for the last quarter of 2001, which would see the group break even - six months earlier than previously projected. The company's products are used for preventing unauthorised web use - one of the few markets to carry on growing despite the slump in tech spending.
