Dell signs Cray deal

Servers get a boost from three-year supercomputing tie-up...

NEWS Dell has signed a three-year contract with supercomputer manufacturer Cray to sell Dell servers in its computing clusters. Cray will use Dell's PowerEdge servers in its cluster networks, in which many small computers work together to create one large powerful computer. Cray has previously based its clusters on proprietary technology. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
