NEWS Qualcomm executives have ignored pleas from unions by re-electing Frank Savage to its board in spite of his known ties to disgraced energy giant, Enron.
The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations has specifically requested that Qualcomm avoid re-appointing Savage until it had undertaken a full review of the situation.
Qualcomm's board expressed full confidence in Savage, although it has agreed to monitor the situation on an ongoing basis.
