NEWS Computer Associates and Network Appliance have joined up to help companies with their back-up and data recovery problems. The companies unveiled the integration of CA's BrightStor Enterprise Backup software and the Network Appliance NearStore R100 software which enable firms to get their back-up and data recovery from a single platform. The NearStore product is designed to allow data storage, which has previously been too expensive to keep on disk. It also allows quick data recovery to take place. BrightStor Enterprise Backup automates back-up and recovery tasks and can help manage the primary storage resource.
