NEWS The world's number one PC maker Dell is expected to turn in higher than expected revenues for its first financial quarter. The company, which last year took the number one spot from Compaq, said it is on track to hit or even beat revenue expectations for the quarter. It is predicting to bring in about $7.9bn in revenue, down two per cent on the previous quarter. It said it has been able to win new business by keeping prices down. Its share price was up slightly to $26.70 in after hours trading having fallen 1.4 per cent during the day.
