NEWS Dell customer complaints have shot up nearly 40 per cent over the last year. A study by Planet Feedback, a US consumer consultancy, found out that American Dell customers were getting increasingly dissatisfied with the computer giant's customer service and technical support. The consumer site registered over 4,800 complaints about Dell's support services in the past year, up 40 per cent from the previous period. Most of the complaints were concerned with the amount of time it took Dell to respond to a support query. Dell was unavailable for comment.

I own the 8200 Dell computer and must say that their technical support for which I paisd top dollar for absolutely SUCKS. When American companies opt to screw American workers by farming out jobs to workers in India, Dell Customers suffer. The brain damaged number cruncher who decided that Dell customers would best be served by hooking them up with technical support people that cannot speak the language......well, let's just say Dell really f***ed themselves with this move. I will never, ever purchase another Dell product again. We Americans must band together to let Dell know that we will boycott their company and products. Mike Dell forgot where he came from.

I am also a very unhappy customer. I spent 9 hrs since christmas eve on the phone with dell with absolutely no customer service. You can't get a customer service manager on the phone nor would anybody give me a phone number to corporate. Needless to say I am now returning my brand new defective dell for a refund and will purchase a new computer from a different company.

I bought a dell work station system and I AM S O R R Y that I did so.
It took 7 weeks and 9 phone calls just to get them to send an invoice. Mind you this is after they got their money.
Then I had a problem getting the second drawer on the printer to work properly.
You guessed it. (2) 45 minute phone calls and three weeks later the drawer still does not work. The tech man I talked to the second time said after 45 minutes, "Can I call you back in 15 to 30 minutes? I need to do some more research." It is now 1hour and 15 min. later and he has not called. I tried tech support and I was lucky enough to get the same tech. He said he thought that it was resolved.
The worst Company that I have ever done business with, and W I L L N E V E R D O B U S I N E S S W I T H A G A I N

I am so ecruciatingly frustrated with Dell customer service that after spending the better part of two hours on the phone, I seriously considered shooting myself. Dell isn't stupid, tie you up on hold until you hang up, situation resolved. I am writing Fcc with my complaint.

I'm glad to know it's just not me. I believe in a diversified workplace; but, is it me or does Dell hire no one but foreigners who can't speak proper English and screw your account up if they think you are being rude? You can bend over backwards and do some major sucking up and they still won't budge. Someone needs to do something about Dell and the language barrier.

Puchased computer in February 2004.
Purchased digital camera April 2004.
Since purchase of camera Dell cannot correct problem with printer. Numerous telephone calls to Dell, Technical Support, caused problem with
CD unable to copy music etc. Eventually correct problem with CD but still printer has a problem. We are now in August 2004 and I have a 3 year next day business call out.

Dell customer complaint and service handling is complete c**p. I can't get my DVD writer to write DVD+RW's, and they refuse to discuss upgrading the OS to Win XP, even though this was offered as an option when I purchased. I shall certainly be looking at the competition before I buy anaother Dell.

I ordered a dell 8400 computer system on the the 8th Feb 2005, its now the 22nd March & guess what I'm still waiting. Many hours of phone calls to Ireland & India, no one takes responsibilty for my complaints, no managers to talk to, NO-ONE returns calls. My order has been cancelled twice by Dell themselves, they blame it on "internal problems" - but they've had my money!! I will NEVER recommend them to anybody.
