NEWS The Eurovision song contest is to be streamed live on the internet for the first time. The annual pan-European music fest, to be held this year in Tallinn, Estonia on Saturday, will be available to watch live, or as a recorded version at a later date. Finnish firm Elisa Communications is in charge of digitising the broadcast signal sent in from Estonia. The signal will then be sent on to streaming expert Akamai's servers to be distributed around the world. The company said: "On the evening of 25 May it is possible, for the first time in the history of the Eurovision, to see the final concert in its entire length on the internet, all over the world, by way of 13,000 distributed servers in the Akamai network. One of the four video pictures is the television picture that reaches millions of TV sets across Europe. Three video pictures are totally unique and are produced solely for the Eurovision web." The site operates in English and is free for anyone wishing to watch the event on the internet. It can be found at http://www.eurovision.tv
