NEWS Apple is considering running PCs in its US stores in an attempt to convince potential first-time Mac buyers to leap the chasm. According to US wires, the company could bring PCs by a number of manufacturers in store in an attempt to demonstrate the comparable advantages of Macs running alongside them. Apple also plans to demonstrate Macs running Connectix Virtual PC, a Windows emulator, in the hope it can convince PC users that the transition need not be the digital equivalent of bowel surgery. The company has already opened 31 stores across the US, and is planning to open 18 more this year.
