HP speeds up Superdome's clock

875Mhz... knock yourself out...

NEWS HP has increased the clock speed of its high end Unix Superdome computer. Using new PA-RISC 8700+ processors the machine has been made 17 per cent faster, operating at 875Mhz compared with the previous speed of 750Mhz. The new processors are available immediately for $23,000 each - the same price tag as its predecessor the 8700.
