NEWS HP has announced a $1.2bn revamp of its imaging and printing range in an attempt to boost consumer sales. The company said it is planning to launch over 50 new imaging and printing products in the next 12 months in an attempt to stave off increasing competition from Canon, Epson and Lexmark. HP CEO Carly Fiorina said the move will take digital imaging technology into the mainstream. The Imaging and printing division is the jewel in HP's crown, producing revenues of around $20bn a year.
