NEWS Microsoft has increased its co-operation with the peer-to-peer (P2P) software company, Groove Networks. Microsoft is building on an existing relationship by integrating Groove Workspace, the file sharing groupware, with its own SharePoint software to offer companies with greater project sharing abilities. Microsoft bought a 20 per cent stake in Groove last year for $51m. Groove has gained fame through its creator and ex-Lotus Notes developer Ray Ozzie and by providing Napster with its file swapping infrastructure.
