NEWS AMD, Fujitsu and Israeli semiconductor company Saifun have settled their differences and signed a broad patent and technology cross-licence agreement for flash memory. Saifun's NROM technology will be licensed by the bigger companies, who have had their differences in the past. They will also take an equity stake in Saifun. Saifun's non-volatile memory NROM technology allows two physical bits per memory cell, which should mean better-performing flash data storage.
