Is the Mac mini your car's best friend?

One car company wants to see you stick it in your glove box

NEWS Not content with connecting your iPod to your car? Now you can connect your Mac mini to your motor too.

One mechanic in Sloatsburg, New York is now offering to customise punters' cars with a deck that will connect the car to the Mac mini. The company already makes custom decks for iBooks and modified the design once Mac mini rumours started appearing.

The deck can be customised to fit the tiny computer under the car seat and in the glove box.

As well as keeping kids busy on long journeys with video games or DVDs, the Mac mini could also help remote workers with Bluetooth connectivity and voice recognition for working while on the road.

    Not exactly ground breaking.
You just have to watch any Pimp My Ride and they are doing similar things.

Lots of car manufacturers are planning on doing the same with Linux boxes anyway.

Stick it in the boot and then if your handbrake fails you have got a nice looking wheel chock to stop the car rolling away.

    Best possible use for it.

i-mac's make good Bins once you have removed the screen.

Power macs make good door stops!!!

If you see a Mac Mini in person, then you will get it. It isn't just another small computer. It is TINY. It also isn't a laptop, and it is NOT an iMac (it's not spelled i-mac). Too many ignorant people in the world.
