Take a tour of Milan...

To paint, people can pick up a brush or just dip their fingers in virtual paint cups, as Bolger is doing here.

Looks great, but what happens when you use it as a table? And it will be used, like putting down a cup of Coffee?

This is why microsoft will never rival Google.

So many reasons why this is junk.

Ergonomically, it requires you to lean over the table to use it. I can see the legal guide now: 'This product is used at your own risk ... no liability for back disorders ...'
Thanks for promoting health and safety, microsoft, I can see the advert now: 'We see a world where everyone has back and neck pains ... whatever happened to sitting upright and correct viewing angles!

Painting with your fingers. Right; clearly aimed at the 3-6 year old market then (like that tacky colourful plastic windows XP 'teletubby' theme). Serious artist/designer? Don't bother with this toy!

Restaurants? Tables are furniture, and need to match the interior design. What about all the things you normally have on a table (plates, cutlery, drinks, tablecloths etc.) that will render it completely useless as a display.
How does it cope with food stains, will drinks spillage electrocute your customers (or will all the sparks and bangs just give them a coronory?)
Oh, and what do you do when it displays the 'Virtual memory low, press any part of table to continue' dialog box appears (or it just bluescreens with a register dump). Very slick.

Casinos? Don't they already have (heavily scrutinized) video gambling machines? Would windows pass all the requirements for US casino software legislation which is ironically thousands of times more stringent than the dodgy crap they use in their election voting machines!

Displaying maps? Better done with an interactive touchscreen display on the wall to maximize convenience and minimize valuable floor space. This requires you to be seated to view / use it. Just two of these would make all your lobby space disappear ...

Touch screen jukeboxes already exist, and have slots for coins as well ...

Photos are better viewed when not stuck on a table surface where you have to do your neck in to look at them at the right angle and can't view them at a distance (unless you happen to be hanging from the ceiling.)

Snazzy effect patterns? Better handled with a projector (or glitter ball :-)

    $10,000? Goodbye ...
