Photos: Some creative uses for USB ports

R2-D2, cool ties and James Bond watches

The Force is strong in this four-port R2-D2 USB hub. The loveable rust bucket will spin his head and beep when you insert a USB device.

There is also a Darth Vadar version available, depending on which side of the morality fence you sit.

Loved the idea of Webcam Missile Launcher. I want one of my own in my office.

The USB missile launcher is pretty crap. I bought one about a year ago. It's a little air-compresser dressed up as a missile launcher -- cool in concept, but the 30 second delay from the time you hit fire to the time it launches, combined with the rather lound buzzing noise it makes as the air builds up pressure makes stealth attacks impossible.

And it broke after about a month of occasional use. Looks good on my desk though.

I have an R2D2 hub, but his head does not spin (must be a cheap model). The noise was quite annoying after hearing it about 20 times, so I switched it off.
