The laptop uses Asus' Super Hybrid Engine energy efficiency technology which monitors the power requirements of all the components and automatically adjusts power levels to match demands.
The company claims the tech enables battery life to be extended by between 35 per cent and 70 per cent compared to other laptops of the same spec, and says the accumulated power savings mean the carbon footprint of each laptop is reduced by 12.3kg per year.
