NEWS ST Microelectronics, the Franco Italian semiconductor company formerly known as SGS Thomson, has warned of poor third quarter results. Pasquale Pistorio, ST Microelectronics CEO, said it would be "difficult for the Q3 results to better the previous quarter". He blamed the general downturn in the global semiconductor market for his company's slowdown.
