In brief: NEC facing Windows 98 incompatibility problems

By Suzanna Kerridge, 5 August 1998 16:52

NEWS PC vendor NEC is continuing tests to iron out problems associated with running Windows 98 on its Versa notebook range. The company claims it will have the notebooks ready in about two weeks. However, it has still to solve incompatibility problems between the operating system and the notebooks' graphics subsystems. Users who have already purchased a notebook from the Versa range will receive a free upgrade, and a CD ROM offering software updates to download prior to moving over to Windows 98.
