Nokia enjoys Q4 boom

NEWS Nokia has announced fourth quarter profits of $666.2m - a 72 per cent increase on last year. The Finnish telecoms equipment supplier also posted increased Q4 revenues of $4.97bn, up 63 per cent on the same period last year. Nokia's Q4 results showed a marked contrast to those of its Nordic rival, Ericsson of Sweden, which recorded a 2.8 per cent fall in profits for the quarter last week.
