NEWS German electronics group, Siemens is in talks with Microsoft, Sun Microsystems and Symbian - the joint venture between Psion, Ericsson, Motorola and Nokia - to become a player in the race to supply mobile phones capable of Internet access. The German company launched an information and communications division yesterday, to be headed by Volker Jung. Speaking at the launch in Berlin, Jung said: "We are planning partnerships to achieve a global presence." Siemens' potential partners were named by UK newspaper the Independent.
