NEWS Symbian, the mobile communications joint venture part-owned by Psion, has claimed it will move into profit in 2001. The company said it has a "long way to go" before it reached profitability and warned shareholders to prepare for substantial costs in the coming year. Symbian formed last year as a joint venture between Psion, Ericsson, Nokia and Motorola.
