Intel moves up to Level One

NEWS Intel has bought Californian company, Level One in a stock swap worth $2.2bn. Level One manufactures high-speed telecoms and networking technology on silicon. The chip giant will use the technology to become a component supplier to the Internet and intranet equipment markets. The company - and all its employees - will be absorbed into Intel's network communications group.
