Apple speeds up PowerBook G3

NEWS Apple Computer's interim CEO, Steve Jobs, unveiled two high-speed PowerBook G3's during his keynote speech at the start of the company's annual Worldwide Developers Conference in California yesterday. The notebooks operate at 333MHz and 400MHz. Both machines use copper-based G3 processors and have an average battery life up to five hours, something Jobs described as "industry leading". The notebooks will available from 20 May.
