Speech-enabled products delayed by Y2K bug

NEWS European growth in the speech-processing software market is being held back due to the millennium bug, according to a report by Frost & Sullivan. With the market expected to be worth $1.9bn by 2005, the study claims that the progress of the technology has been hindered by the different rates of market acceptance and penetration. The research suggests that the market boom could occur when companies begin to extensively use speech-enabled technology for training.
