Nokia seals Hong Kong police TETRA deal

NEWS The Hong Kong police force has awarded Nokia a $18m contract to supply them with a TETRA mobile radio network. The contract covers a complete Nokia TETRA system including digital exchange, base stations, dispatching equipment, network management systems and related services. The system framework is supported by Nokia's mobile radio terminals. The deal is Nokia's first TETRA agreement in China and deliveries will begin in February 2000.
