NEWS Intel has brought out two additions to its range of Celeron processors for budget PCs. The products will run at 600 and 566MHz, and are the first Celerons to be unveiled for almost three months. The chip giant claims the processors offer improvements because they are faster, feature Internet Streaming SIMD extensions and are manufactured using the company's 0.18-micron processor technology. They are different to Pentium IIIs as they have less cache memory and a slower system bus. Additional Celerons are expected in coming months, with clock speeds of 633, 667 and 700MHz on the Intel roadmap this year.
