Microsoft unveils novel idea to shift Pocket PCs

NEWS Microsoft has signed a deal with publishing houses Random House and Simon & Schuster as well as media giant Time Warner to develop electronic books. The media firms will publish novels based on the sofware giant's Reader software, which can then be downloaded onto Microsoft's Pocket PC. Titles planned for immediate publication include the latest Star Trek television series and popular fiction from authors such as Michael Crichton.
