NEWS UK mobile operator Orange is planning for future growth following its acquisition by France Telecom. Graham Howe, financial director at Orange, said the company will become the number one European mobile operator as it increases its subscribers from 21 million to 30 million by the end of the year. Following media speculation, Howe also admitted it was possible Orange was in discussions with Dutch company KPN and Finnish operator Sonera on joining their mobile activities. However, he said the company would not undertake any partnerships or acquisitions until the company is listed on the Paris Bourse at the end of the year. Howe claimed the company would be valued at between E100bn to E150bn.
