Ericsson and WorldCom join forces for IP networking

NEWS Ericsson has teamed up with WorldCom UUNet to work on international IP networking. The companies together plan to launch an IP-enabled infrastructure that will cut costs for mobile operators around the world. Full details are not yet available but the companies are understood to be piloting WAP and GPRS to reduce delay times for both operators and end-users. The alliance is not exclusive.
