Nokia secures corporate WAP strategies

Nokia has launched a range of software products to provide secure WAP services for corporates.

NEWS The Nokia Activ Software Suite features PKI encryption, server authentication and push technology - which will allow companies to personalise services for their employees. Jukka Riivari, head of product marketing for Nokia, claimed push technology will be key for businesses. "Business to employee is going to be critical for push technology - employees will be much more open to having information pushed to them on the phone than consumers," he said. The range also includes server software products for both large enterprises and smaller businesses. In a separate agreement Nokia has teamed up with Andersen Consulting to provide training and support for corporates wish to implement the technology.
