NEWS In financial results for the year 2000, revenue increased to E33.67bn (£21.47bn), up from E27.23bn (£17.37bn) the previous year. France Telecom attributed the upturn to growth in its wireless, internet and international operations. Orange, which should raise E6.3bn (£4.1bn) in today's flotation, saw sales jump 83 per cent in the past year. Orange's French unit, Itineris, rose 38 per cent to E5.33bn (£3.4bn). Outside of France and the UK, France Telecom's international wireless sales grew 88 per cent to E1.66bn (1.08bn). Overall, international sales more than doubled to E8.68bn (£5.53bn), compared with E3.48bn (£2.22bn) in 1999. Total sales in France rose 5.2 per cent to E24.98bn (£15.91bn).
