NEWS The report, which surveyed 649 PDA owners, predicted that the 6.1 million PDA units sold in the US last year will soar by a further 57 per cent to 9.6 million over 2001. Nearly two thirds of respondents said PDAs made their lives easier, while 37 per cent said they couldn't work without one. However, 11 per cent of respondents cited poor battery life, screen design and problems inputting information into the machines as downsides to the popular technology.
