BT has one eye on camera phones

BT Wireless and Sharp are planning to develop a multimedia device called Cyclops that will enable users to take and send photos from their mobile phone.

NEWS The first model, based on Sharp's camera phone, which is already available in Japan, is due to be launched in Europe by the end of the year. BT Wireless said it intends to modify the phone for use on both GSM and GPRS networks. It claims it will have a colour screen and picture storage capacity and transmission speeds over GPRS of up to 56kb.
