Motorola clinches BT Cellnet contract

Good news for equipment maker, at last...

NEWS Motorola has won a $150m contract with BT Cellnet to expand its mobile network. The deal runs until March 2003. Motorola will provide GSM base stations as well as support services. The deal is good news for Motorola which has suffered from the shrinking market for mobile phone handsets. Motorola shares were largely unaffected by the news.
