NEWS silicon.com has launched its latest Hot Topic channel, focusing on the ways we can now use wireless technology to make our working lives easier. Called Wirefree Working (http://www.silicon.com/WireFreeWorking), we will be looking at the issues affecting businesses across Europe now. These include what 2.5G mobile data standards - such as GPRS and HSCSD - will allow us to do, the ways SMS texting is making and saving companies cash, how Bluetooth-enabled devices will interact with wireless LANs, and which type of PDA should we bet on to succeed. These are undeniably areas of high growth, especially in Europe, and in many ways will affect the development of the internet and, in a much broader sense, how we work and live in the future.
